SATORP & The Case: SATORP, a refinery and petrochemical industry leader, is a joint venture of Saudi Aramco and TotalEnergies. As a vital actor in the worldwide supply chain, it provides 460,000 barrels of Arabian Heavy Crude every day, fuelling a variety of manufacturing businesses. SATORP’s competence and resilience have helped it stand out in the MENA and GCC regions. The PR team saw an excellent chance to strengthen SATORP’s global footprint and usher in a new era.
The Attempts: Mr. Mohammad, the head of the PR department, and his staff set out to increase SATORP’s global visibility. They saw the need for a planned and comprehensive approach and began looking for a MARCOM professional to create a public relations and communication strategy. Over the next five years, the goal was to alter SATORP’s communication, both internally and internationally, in order to strengthen its position with stakeholders and create a compelling success story. This resulted in the partnership with Mission235.
Our Contribution: Understanding the problem was just the beginning. With over 20 years of experience, Mission235 evaluated worldwide oil and gas trends along with local challenges. We customized ‘SATORP’s PRCS’ to match industry standards as well as SATORP’s unique needs by working with department heads and conducting in-depth sentiment and SWOT analysis.
